Rolling Chassis
Here we can fully refurbish or replace a chassis and then rebuild the chassis to a fully restored rolling chassis with Hobson Original parts. This will enable you to start your restoration project with the right foundation. If you are a little more adventurous, it can save significant time when creating bespoke body/interior solutions for your discerning customers.
Full Refurbishment
The donor vehicle is given a thorough inspection by our expert team covering 300 points. The inspection report is provided to the customer along with a quotation for the remedial works required which may vary according to the overall condition of the vehicle.
Once the scope of the work is agreed, the vehicle is carefully stripped to the individual components and assemblies. These assemblies are then streamed to the various departments within the
business for processing. The ultimate objective of these processes is to recondition the original components to an agreed condition which is usually as new.
Processed parts and assemblies are then returned to the build area and the same highly skilled technician is assigned to rebuild the vehicle from the ground up. Starting by building the rolling chassis, adding the engine and gearbox, then the bulkhead and so on, until the vehicle is complete. All panel work and painted components are painted off the vehicle in our own on-site paintshop to ensure longevity and durability and are only fitted at final assembly. This
produces a high-quality factory finish.
The completed vehicle then undergoes a final inspection and thorough testing which including a series of test drives totalling circa 200 miles to eliminate any possibility of undetected issues when the customer takes delivery of their vehicle.
